Read Across Brooklake - Mrs. Kuzemczak and Mrs. Franklin, Coordinators
"Read Across Brooklake" is a Reading Incentive Program offered at Brooklake School. Students read a book of interest, fill out a response sheet, and put the sheet in the Read Across Brooklake mailbox outside of the main office. Twice a year we have a lottery and select three students (one from each grade level) who win gift cards from local stores or eateries. The students enjoy participating and reap the benefits of reading. Reading develops creativity, strengthens the ability to comprehend concepts and ideas, improves communication skills, increases vocabulary, and develops critical thinking skills. "Read Across Brooklake" is a fun, stress-free way to keep our students reading! Should you have any questions regarding this activity, please contact Mrs. Kuzemczak at [email protected] and or Mrs. Franklin at [email protected]
