ABOUT ME...

I joined the Florham Park School District as Brooklake Elementary School's school nurse in October 2020.  I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Felician University and currently enrolled in William Paterson University of New Jersey's Masters of Science in Nursing Program.  Prior to working in the FPSD, I have a combined several years of experience working with children and families in a family practitioner's office and assisting families of children with special needs.  I look forward to working with you to keep our community and children healthy and learning!

ABSENCES

Please call the absentee line for all absences. It is very important to notify me as soon as possible if your child is diagnosed and/or treated for any contagious condition including but not limited to:

• • • COVID-19,

    • the flu,

    • strep throat,

    • conjunctivitis (pink eye),

    • infectious mononucleosis,

    • chicken pox, measles, etc. 

DISTRICT ILLNESS POLICY

Students who are ill (i.e. fever, sore throat, heavy cough, vomiting/diarrhea, etc.) should stay home until symptoms have resolved. 

Students experiencing a fever (>100.4ºF) must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and their other symptoms greatly improved before they return to school according to our district policy.

(If your child was seen by a doctor for an illness, a note on when your doctor feels it is appropriate for your child to return to class is appreciated. )

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

As recommended by the CDC, all parents should have an Emergency Preparedness Plan in place. It should include names and contact information of adults who could pick up their children in case of illness or injuries at school as recommended within one hour of notification.
